We're Not a Derelict on the Web

At least we're trying not to be one.

Sorry about the lack of updates recently. We run The Skin out of pure need to do it (no money) and sometimes the necessities of life get in the way. Not to mention, our casting info sources have been pretty dry and our contributing writers haven't been contributing.

But we're still here. We have plans on purchasing some real estate on the web so we don't have to rely on crappy Webjump to host our site. We've been getting complaints about their servers, so we apologize for that as well.

As for the struggle, well, that still is going on. Our main goal is to be obsolete. Right now, the proportion of ethnic minorities in film and television is actually proportionate to the willingness of middle America to associate with ethnic minorities. Will the increase of minority faces on television stem the violence toward minorities in America or would the acceptance of other cultures give our minority talents more jobs in Hollywood? Chicken or the egg? We don't know, but we do know that both are rich in protein. We'll stop when there's dinner on the table. (ah, the home-spun wit...) And if the rich executives of these networks and film studios refuse, well they can just suck our big fat sources of protein.

We are human beings and we want to participate. Sure, it is a tough industry. It is tough for everyone, but there is a lot unfairness going on, and that stems from ignorance. So we need to make the industry unlearn all their prejudices and notions. We're going to teach them a lesson. So, here, why don't you give them a piece of your mind:
