THE MUMMIFIED DEER
The San Diego Repertory Theatre is accepting submissions for
The Mummified Deer, a play about the inner-workings of a family throughout the 20th
century. Rehearsals start Sept. 26. Performances run Oct. 27-Nov. 19. Travel and lodging
provided.
BREAKDOWN:
Armida: Latina, 20-35, smart, strong-willed, longs to uncover family secrets, must move
well;
Oralia: Latina, 40-55, mother, witty, protective of family secrets, deft comedic timing;
Pedro Coyote: Latino, 22-35, Yaqui deer dancer, conveys emotions non-verbally, heart of
family, Yaqui traditional dancing required;
Profe: male, Latino, 40-55, keeper of family secrets, troubled, strong.
